In 2007, there were less online leads than homes sold (2.7mm).

Fast forward 2011, I remember being one of the first teams with a Boomtown account and online lead gen, which was proprietary and innovative.

Now there are hundreds of millions of subscriptions (or registrations) that are being sold to realtors but might be sold to dozens of different real estate agents. That’s why many realtors are hesitant about online leads.

The difference? Follow up. The number of leads you bring in is irrelevant if you don’t have the follow-up systems to back it up. I remember 6 years ago when Josh and I started to realize this problem. He told me he was going to solve it for me, and he did—along with solving it for hundreds of other realtors.

Here’s the story of how Josh and I became such good friends and how he grew his business one call at a time.
